Billy Lyon is a Sarasota, Florida-based musician popular for his solo acoustic performances. The full band (Billy Lyon Band) consists of Greg Polson on lead guitar, Jack Berry on bass, and Doug Rogells, or Jared Johnson on drums all of which play a part in secondary/backup vocals. Since all members of the band are working musicians themselves, the members may differ but the entertainment is always first-hand and led by Billy Lyon himself.

Billy Lyon’s career began in Donegal Ireland as a frontman for a rock band named Sunny Side Up consisting of Patrick Carroll, Lee Chapman, Padraic Dowdican, and also later adding Stephen McGurrin. After the band split due to the members being on different paths, mainly college, Billy Lyon flew home to sunny Sarasota where he began his solo performances busking on the sidewalks of Siesta Key. From there he made a name for himself at open mics and coffee shops. Eventually being recognized once again as a crowd-pleasing act he moved into the pub scene and has found himself happy pleasing drunks, dancers, and hecklers alike.

Now with his full band, the gigs have gotten bigger and better and the Billy Lyon Band looks forward to what the future will bring them.
