Motorworks Brewing medals amongst stiff competition

Oxford, OH (July 10, 2017) – Breweries from Vermont to Vietnam sent in more than 6,000 beers representing over 100 different styles for the 2017 U.S. Open Beer Championship, which announced winners today. The competition includes professional breweries and award-winning home-brewers, with judges from England, Canada and the United States.

Motorworks Brewing is proud to have won a Bronze Medal in the Coffee Beer category for our Midnight Espresso Coffee Porter. Using coffee beans hand-roasted at Motorworks Brewing, a darker roast on Sumatra beans imparts toasted flavors, while a slightly lighter roast on Sulawesi beans provides fruity undertones. With strong chocolate and coffee notes in its aroma and taste, derived from dark caramel and chocolate malts, a slightly sweet finish rounds out this medium-bodied porter.

Midnight Espresso is available in 4-packs (and on draft) in our taproom, as well as in Publix, Total Wine and other retailers throughout the state.
